Josie Harris-Walton is owner and managing partner at The Walton Firm, where she manages the law firm’s corporate and tax division. In 2008, Josie obtained her Juris Doctor from Samford University, Cumberland School of Law. After law school she attended DePaul University College of Law to obtain her Masters in Law in Taxation (LLM Taxation). During her time at DePaul University College of Law, Josie volunteered as a tax attorney for the Tax Care Clinic, a non-profit organization, focused on helping low-income taxpayers with disputes against the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

Josie also worked as an extern for the IRS’ Office of Chief Counsel. In 2013, Josie became a senior tax consultant at Strategic Tax Advisors, where she provided tax consulting to companies around the United States.
The following year she became owner and managing partner of Coleman & Walton, LLC, a boutique law firm dedicated to helping businesses with their business and tax issues. She represented individuals and businesses by providing expertise in tax consulting and tax litigation. In 2018, Josie returned to Deming, Parker, Hoffman, Campbell, & Daly, LLC, to manage their tax practice. She decided to form The Walton Firm in 2020. Josie serves as a board member of several non-profit organizations. She is also a member of the Georgia Association of Black Women and the Coalition of 100 Black Women. Josie is dedicated to her true passion of assisting and helping business owners better understand their businesses and taxes.
